New Delhi: Indian Minister Gopinath Munde has been questioned about his education by the congress. Gopi was next to be suspected regarding his education after the minister Smriti Irani. Economic Times has issued a report stating that Gopinath has been accused of graduating in 1976 from a college that was established in 1978.
General Secretary of the Congress, Shakeel Ahmed, tweeted on the social media website twitter that the educational achievement of the minister of rural development and leader of BJP Gopi Naath Munday is under discussion by the social media, as he graduated in 1976 from a college that was established in 1978.
The pledge submitted by Gopinath to the election commission in 2014 in order to run for elections for Lok Sabha clearly states that he had acquired his BJL degree from New Law College Punay in 1976. This pledge is available on the website of Indian election commission. Gopinath is not responding to the calls or messages regarding this matter. But he has been made a laughing stock of the town on the social media.
This might be attributed to a technical or a typing error, but Gopinath has said nothing in his defence. This recent allegation has caused the media to focus on the education of the other members of the Modi cabinet. Reports state that more than half of the members of the parliament are educated from fifth to 12th grade only. On the submission of false credentials to the election commission, the central government of India is already under criticism. Interestingly, five staff members of the Delhi University have already been dismissed for revealing the truth about Smriti Irani. The Modi Government is under criticism for this act also.
