Former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf has said that it is necessary to tell the world that why the Haqqani network was allowed to exist in Pakistani soil.
In an interview with a British Broadcasting Agency, he said that India wanted an anti-Pakistan Afghanistan, adding that it is using Afghanistan for that purpose and Pakistan surely wanted to stop it.
When he was asked weather Haqqani network was need of Pakistan? He replied that if I had been in power I would have been thinking how Pakistani interests could better been served.
He said that when the US and allied forces talk about their exit from Afghanistan in 2014, then Pakistan would surely thinks what the condition would be after the exit of coalition forces, adding that Pakistan has to be ready for facing international politics and foreign pressure every time.
