LAHORE: A petition against Imran Khan has been filed in Lahore High Court after he has called for Civil Disobedience Movement. The petition filed by Kashif Suleman says that the call for disobedience movement by Imran Khan will create anarchy in the country hence; an action against Imran Khan should be taken. The petitioner further pleaded that the court should order Imran Khan to stay away from entering the Red Zone.
On the other hand, Co-chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party Mr Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his concerns over current political situation of the country, saying that the democracy cannot bear Civil Disobedience Movement at any cost. He advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz to avoid their stubbornness and take up the process of negotiations.
According to spokesman of PPP, Asif Ali Zardari in a statement has said that both the parties should fulfil their responsibilities well, adding that democracy is unable to bear Civil Disobedience Movement at any cost. He has further said that getting the demands’ fulfilment unconstitutionally can be harmful for the democracy. He added that the sitting government and Imran Khan should not stop negotiating and both the parties should find the solutions of their matters with mutual understanding.
On the other side, international media have termed that the protest being held in Islamabad is harmful for Pakistan and the march being held is creating anarchy in the country. The media said that Imran Khan’s protest could push Pakistan into further difficulties.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri have started protest against PMLN due to rigging in the elections. Imran Khan has recently called for a Civil Disobedience Movement. Earlier he demanded of the premier to resign.
