Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan disclosed his first ever job, when he was a student of Oxford University. In an interview to DAWN News, Imran Khan was asked about the story of how he used to wash dishes at restaurant to pay his fees as he was studying at Oxford University, during the Indo-Pak war in 1971.
Imran Khan said that he still remembers that it was during the 1971 Indo-Pak war in which he had to work at a store in England for money.
Due to the war of 1971, the price of a pound escalated from Rs 13 to Rs 28. There were restrictions on foreign exchange at that time, so he said his father to send money to his sister and he managed himself.
He said that in the past I did a job only once in my life and it was just for 20 days and that was tough a time for me.
He also said that by that time I was playing professional cricket but also had to work at a store as part time job to meet up my expenses. He was eventually fired from his job in 10 days just because he got into an argument with someone there.
