Karachi: Former lawmakers of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) termed the withdrawal of Sindh People’s Local Government Act (SPLGA) and imposition of 1979 Ordinance, a “political drama” of PPP. In a statement issued here on Friday, JI ex-lawmakers said the PPP was introduced SPLGO against the emotions of the people of Sindh Province by blackmailing with the hands of MQM.
He also termed introduction of SPLGO was a conspiracy to divide Sindh. They further said MQM for last five years were enjoying the perks and privileges of the government ruling party and now acting as opposition while its interests were being affected.
They further said PPP and MQM did not perform in the interest of the people of the Sindh and both the parties have failed to ensure provision of basic facilities to the people.
JI former legislators were of their views that both the parties PPP and MQM were posing drama in front of the people, as MQM was trying to get the sympathy of the people by rendering resignations and PPP was trying to get the support of the people of Sindh by withdrawing SPLGA, 2012.
