Millions must have breathe a sigh of relief when they heard their beloved Imam-e-Kaaba Abdul Rahman Sudais was out of danger and well after suffering a severe heart attack. According to sources, the Imam-e-Kaaba, who has mesmerized millions through his heart revoking recitation of the Holy Quran, suffered a heart attack while heading the Maghrib prayers. The Imam somehow finished the prayers with the pain surging through his chest and was then rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The family of Abdul Rahman Sudais states that he is well and out of danger.
Abdul Rahman Sudais was born on the 1382 A.H in Riyadh. He became a Hafiz at the age of 12 in a Masjid of Riyadh under Shaikh Abdul Rahman Al Faryan. He was educated at the ‘Mathna bin Hartha’ elementary school and was taught by various scholars such as Shaikh Muhammad Abdul Majid Zakir. He graduated with excellent grades from the school and went on to study in the Shariah College. He was made the Imam and the Khateeb of the Masjid Shaikh Allam Abdul Razzaq.
The Imam was appointed as the Imam and Khateeb of Masjid-ul-Haram =, Makkah to lead his first prayers in 1404 Hijri. He completed his doctorate from the Umm-al-Qura University and was then appointed as a lecturer at the Shariah College of the Um-al-Qura University. He has a great influence on the Muslim Ummah and is able to move huge congregations at the prayers through his exceptional recitation of the Holy Quran. May Allah keep this Imam safe and bless him with health and longevity.
