Karachi: The ICC Under-19 World Cup warm up matches are under way with Pakistan Under-19s losing to England Under-19s by five wickets in the first match played today (August 7, 2012)at the neutral venue of at Fred Kratzman Oval, Brisbane.
Pakistan batting first after losing the toss score a staggering score of 281 in 50 overs with the loss of six wickets. But the score proved to be insufficient for Pakistan to win the match.
England under 19s got to the target with ease as they hit the mark with 36 balls remaining and five wickets in hand. BT Foakes scored an outstanding match winning century scoring 133 of 119 balls at an impressive strike rate of 111.76
The first match of the group B will be played on Aug 11, 2012 between Afghan U19 and Pakistan U19 at Buderim at (09:30 local | 23:30 GMT | 04:30 PKT).
