Stories of Hitler’s era gold are very common in Europe, many believe they are hidden in remote mountainous villages while some believe they were captured by one of the allies but remained silent from fear of other countries demanding share.
But a British sky diver claims that the lost gold is lying beneath the sea with the refugee ship ‘Wilhelm Gustloff’. During the last days of WWII many refugee left Germany on Wilhelm Gustloff and it is believed that three tones of gold was smuggled by German officers through this ship.
The price of the lost gold is thought to be over $100 million.
Unfortunately this ship never reached its destination and was sunk after Soviet attack and around 9,500 refugees lost their lives.
Phil Sayers a British diver who met survivors from the ship believes that the gold was loaded in the ship and it can easily be located from the historical records of the incident.
