People join gym to increase work out under a professional trainer and to gain muscles, but do you know how does weight lifting increases our muscles? Or what actually happens inside our body during and after work out?
When we lift weight or use machines it puts stress on our muscles which damages our muscles. They damage our muscles fibers by tearing them. After work out when we rest our body repairs these damages. You may have experienced that after initial workouts you feel pain in your muscles that’s because of this damage.
Now during repair of the muscles our body creates new additional tissues which form in the area of the damages muscle increasing the size of muscle. That’s the reason why there are specific exercise to grow muscles on specific parts of our body.
The growing of tissue in initial repair is fast later it becomes slow, that’s the reason why at the first few months you grow excessive muscles later the growth is minimum.
