According to media reports Lahore Metropolitan Corporation suggested to enforce a tax on graveyards under its authority. After this suggestion social media have exploded in reaction.
It is reported that the suggestion was made to local government of the city, requesting a Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500 tax on all new graves and burials. It was said that the amount will be used to maintain the facilities at graveyards.
This news was too much for social media users who criticized this new tax suggestion calling it unjust. A user said that in Pakistan living and dying both are difficult.

Dr. Shahbaz Gill, Chief Spokesperson of Chief Minister of Punjab, refuted this news and claimed that it is propaganda against the tax reforms of the government.

PTI Social media team member Farhan Virk responded that the news is about suggestion of such tax and requested that government should keep such people aside from media.
