Rumors were circulating on social media that PTI government is thinking to make Friday as a weekly holiday and week will start from Sunday. But government refuted these online rumors.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry used twitter to denounce this fake rumor which is circulating on social media from many days.
No change in weekly holiday calender is under consideration, all such rumours regarding change in this regard are baseless

Prior to 1997 Pakistan observed Friday and Saturday as weekly holidays while Sunday was a working day.
Ex Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif changed the weekly holidays to align with the western markets where Friday is a working day.
