Islamabad: Government of Pakistan has decided to introduce an interest free loan scheme of rupees 25 billion for at least one million people of rural areas. According to news reports government has decided to distribute this money to one million people of rural areas within a time period of three years. This scheme is going to be started in one month.
A meeting was called on Wednesday by Finance Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar in which the loan scheme was reviewed and a deadline for it has been given. This is Prime Minister’s Interest free loan scheme and it will be managed by Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF).
In a briefing the Chief Executive Officer of PPAF Qazi Azmat Isa has said that according to directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from the loan program 50 money will be given to women of rural areas. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has also said that after structuring the layout and working on the pro-government modalities the government will immediately start granting the loan.
In his briefing Mr. Dar has also mentioned the salient features of the loan scheme’s plan and details of delivery work. According to media this is good step being carried out by government.
