Lahore: the Government of Punjab announced two months more extension in house arrest of the leader and the chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawah, Hafiz Saeed, and his aides.
Bear in mind, Hafiz Saeed, the chief of the Jamaat-ud-Dawah, and some his close allies have been house arrested this year on 31st January by the Punjab Government for 90 days because they have been blamed for being involved in terrorist activities. But the 90 days of house arrest is expired on 31st July. However, the government of Punjab further extended 60 days in their house arrest.
The reason of extension has been mentioned by the authorities concern that the party leader and workers have planned for agitation on the day of their chief release, therefore, it is considered better for the security of the country to extend 2 months more in their house arrest.
