Islamabad: The government of Pakistan has now found another way of pinching out the tax money from the National Tax Number Holders, deciding to block the Computerized National Identity Cards of those not paying taxes.
The authorities have announced that ordinary citizens and the Association of Persons are obliged to submit their annual income tax by September 30, 2012 while the companies have to pay their annual tax by 31st December 2012.
Earlier, Federal Board of Revenue Pakistan did freeze the accounts of Pakistan Cricket Board over outstanding taxes worth about Pakistan Rs 30 million (US$317,000 approx) were due on PCB.
