Because of rising international gold prices, gold rate in Pakistan is at new record i.e. Rs51150 per tola. 10 gram gold rate is Rs43842. In international trade gold is at $1,605 per ounce.
On 1st July, the price in international market was $1493 per ounce and the rate of 10 gram in Pakistan was Rs. 41742 whereas per tola rate (11.664 grams) was Rs48700.
The poor people of Pakistan are suffering from poverty and are unable to bur basic commodities of life but now the rich people here will suffer also as they will not be able to buy gold (which is out of reach of poor people) because of its sky high prices.
