Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) President Gohar Ullah, senior vice president Turaab Ali Khuwaja and Vice Presidnet Nawab Ahmed Khanzada notified the administration of PTCL on the complaint of the traders of Sarafaa Bazaar and Pakka Qilla to immediately improve the service of telephone and internet in this area. He also stated that the trading community was tired of complaining about the abysmal service and were not willing to carry on like this.
Gohar Ullah also stated that the customers were not given internet services as promised by the company. They were not receiving the required speed of the internet and that inspite of complaints, the telephone lines would stay non-functional for days without any notice from the relevant authorities.
Pakistan Telecommunication Company was showing irresponsible management by not informing its customers about the change of phone numbers, when the company transferred about 400 non functional telephone connections on fibre optics. PTCL’s lack of concern for its customers was clearly evident when it abruptly shut down telephone connections. Hyderabad Chamber protested against such behaviour and warned the telecommunication authorities to schedule repair works with due consent of the Hyderabad Chamber.
