RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has reached Afghanistan on one-day visit where he will discuss Afghan reconciliation process and other issues.
A statement issued from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that General Raheel Sharif has reached in Afghanistan on one-day visit. Army Chief will meet political and military leadership of Afghanistan in which Afghan reconciliation process, Pak-Afghan border issues and situation of the region including other key issues will be discussed.
Director General of ISI Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar and Director General of ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa were also accompanying Army Chief General Raheel Sharif. It is pertinent to mention here that the government of Pakistan and the military is performing their roles as mediator in Afghan reconciliation process.
It should be discussed here that since Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has started operation Zarb-i-Azb and Karachi operation, the bad situations have now become better and people have started to live a peaceful life. People usually found commenting on social media that Army Chief General Raheel Sharif should be working in the same position for a few years more.
