General Elections 2018: Sufi Candidates of Okara PP-184

man & womenIn Okara PP-184 two independent candidates from spiritual, sufi & influential families will contest against each other for the general elections of 2018.

Syeda Jugnu Mohsin Shah belongs from the family of Syed Bandagi Kirmani while the other candidate Syed Raza Ali Gillani hails from the sufi family of Hujra Shah Muqeem.

Syeda Jugnu is the wife of Najam Sethi, the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) & also served as a caretaker chief minister of Punjab in 2013 elections. She is also the co-founder of The Friday Times and hosts a weekly show on Geo News.

The other candidate Syed Raza Ali Gillani also belongs from a politically influential family.

He have been the member of provincial assembly from 2002 – 2018 from tickets of different political parties and also served as a provincial minister, but this time he is contesting as an independent candidate.

As no other candidate from PTI & PMLN are contesting in the constituency it is expected that both independent candidates will face tough time from each other.

Rao Ajmal of PMLN who is contesting for National Assembly from the same area is supporting Syeda Jugnu in the elections.
