Islamabad: Federal Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that gas supply to the cng stations would remain suspended for consecutive three months in the winter season for which appropriate measures have been taken, he informed the sources.
‘Owing to the global restriction imposed on the Islamic country, financial constraints stand as hurdle to carry out the Iran gas pipe line project. We are in talks with Iran in relevance to the issue’, told the minister. He expressed these views after a meeting organized by the functional committee of Senate that looks after the undeveloped areas.
The meeting was headed by Chairman Committee Senator Mir Muhammad Yousuf Badini. The petroleum minister during the meeting told upon that Pakistan can be convicted with daily penalty of US 3 million $ for not following the global ban and fulfilling the agreement terms.
Abbasi further said that issues of local people residing in Bolan district should be solved by taking the provincial government in confidence for the work.
