One out of every 11 people faces kidney stones once in his life making it one of the most common kidney related problem, but there are some simple things which you should consider to prevent being a victim of kidney stones.

To prevent kidney stones follow these simple rules:
- Drink plenty of water so that the chemicals in your kidney and bladder dilute and no stone is formed.
- Increase the intake of calcium because lower calcium gives rise to oxalate which means the chances of crystal and stone formation are higher.
- Decrease the intake of salt because sodium increases the concentration of calcium in kidney and urine which increases the risks of stone formation.
