The government of Pakistan is reviewing a proposal to initiate a ferry service for the people of Pakistan. According to sources, the Ministry of Port and Shipping may launch a ferry service for pilgrims travelling from Karachi to Iran and Iraq for ziarat. A meeting was held with Kamran Michael, the shipping senator and the federal minister for Ports and Shipping at PNSC office. In the meeting, the possibility to start a ferry service from Pakistan to UAE was also discussed.
The minister informed that the government desired to serve the people of Pakistan through the ferry service, which was much cheaper as compared to travelling by plane. This ferry service will be the best alternative option for the people of Pakistan to travel to Iran and Iraq.
