Islamabad: Chairperson of Minister Youth Program Maryam Nawaz expressed her determination that fees reimbursement scheme will prove as a program of social and economic development of country due to the promotion of higher education and research for the undeveloped areas. During the inauguration event of the scheme at Quetta Maryam Nawaz said to the members of the Youth Program that all developed countries have developed with the help of the human resource development.
Maryam Nawaz said to the event that technologically advanced countries have invested on education and research at a very large scale for the acquisition of human resource development. She added that our government wants to take the country on the way of success by getting out our people from poverty and frustration in order to achieve their goals of life. Maryam Nawaz told that this fees reimbursement scheme is starting from Rs. 2 Crore and government will financially assist 30,000 students with an average of Rs. 40,000 in respect of monthly fees.
The students of M.A, MSC, M.Phil and PHD of undeveloped areas are included in the scheme. As the students of Public universities affiliated with Higher Education Commission of Sindh, South Punjab, Multan Bahawalpur, DIG Khan, Baluchistan, KPK, Malakand, Kohistan, Gilgit, Baltistan, and Fata will be included in the scheme. Fees reimbursement scheme is focused on increasing opportunities for admission to higher education especially to talented but financially reserved students belonging to far flung areas of the country.
