Fake Degree Case: KPK Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah Indicted

Syed Aqil Shah indictedPeshawar: The Peshawar High Court on Thursday charged Sports Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Syed Aqil Shah in a fake degree case and adjourned the case hearing till Nov 15 for the next hearing.

KPK Minister for Sports was indicted by district and sessions judge Shehbar Khan on charges of corruption as he filed a fake graduation degree before the Election Commission of Pakistan for contesting the 2008 general elections.

He was indicted on the complaint by the regional election commissioner (REC) and if he gets convicted, the minister could be sentenced to over three years of imprisonment.

Earlier, the arrest warrant against the sports minister were issued on the orders of District and Session Judge Court in the same case.
