Electricity Cuts Off In 200 Houses In Korangi, Karachi

Karachi: Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has cut off the electricity of 200 houses and shops from the last one month in Korangi K. Area. Residential people of Flour Mills displayed the protest against KESC at press club on Thursday.

A resident of Flour Mills said that some houses and shops have not paid their electricity bill which is more than Rs 1.5 million that’s why KESC has disconnected their electricity also. He also added that those who are not paying bills are influential people and KESC is not taking action against these people.

People showed their anger on press club because no one has taken step to solve their problem despite knowing the entire problem regarding electricity.

However according to KESC, if more than 60% defaulters are in one area or continuous electricity is theft then KESC cut off the electricity of that area.
