Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Syed Munawar Hasan has termed the 10-party alliance, a pleasant change and referred it a contest between MQM versus rest of all in upcoming general elections. He expressed these views while addressing a ‘Tarazu Road Karawan’ from Karachi to Peshawar, organised by Shabab-e-Milli here on Sunday. Talking to media, JI chief said that the chapter of seat adjustment with any party has been closed and the party will contest elections individually. He further added the seat adjustment chapter has closed in Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa (KPK) by Jamat-e-Ulema Islam-F and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf while PML-N has closed it in Punjab.
He said that the JI is a ray of hope for the deprived people and on the day of elections i.e. May 11, the people will definitely rejected the slavery of United States, as all other big parties were busy in making their God father (United States) happy. However; JI will take part in the elections on the faith of Allah and the people of the country.
On the occasion, JI Chief appealed the youth and others to vote for ‘Tarazu’ to make the country prosperous and wealthy adding the JI leadership will eliminate corruption, extortion and terrorism after coming into power. Munawar Hasan also demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of the paid advertisement of different political playing on various TV channels.
JI Sindh Chief Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda Siddiqui, Naib Ameer Sindh Asadullah Bhutto, JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mahenti, President Shabab-e-Milli Sindh Azeem Baloch, General Secretary Shabab-e-Milli Pakistan Qaisar Sharif and others also spoke on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the ‘Tarazu Road Karawan’ has started from Karachi and will end in Peshawar while a model of JI electoral symbol ‘Tarazu’ is also installed with the Karawan.
