Karachi: Religious leaders and Representatives of Hindu and Christian communities greeted Eid-ul-Fitr and presented flowers’ bouquets to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Amir Munawar Hassan at the ‘Eid Milan’ party, held at the Idara Noor e Haq, on the first day of Eid. On the occasion, Father Thomas Gulfam, Younas Khan Sohan Advocate and Dr. Ramash Kumar called on Munawar Hassan and exchanged Eid greetings.
Minorities’ leaders briefed Hassan about the socio-economic situation of minorities in Pakistan and thanked Hassan for the measures, taken by Al-Khidmat particularly for Hindu community in interior Sindh areas.
Hassan assured them for complete support of JI for their basic and fundamental rights. Besides a large number of people, belonging to various walks of life, JI Sindh General Secretary Rashid Naseem, JI Sindh vice chief Dr. Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui, JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, Secretary general Naseem Siddiqui and other office bearers attended the ceremony.
