Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the second phase of Ehsaas Cash Program in which jobless labours & workers will be registered after which the will be provided cash assistance.
This initiative is also part of the Ehsaas program launched last month. The disbursements for this initiative will be made from PM COVID-19 Relief fund and will be limited to only those unemployed citizens who lost their job and source of income due to coronavirus lockdown.
How to Register?
Any person can apply for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash if he lost his job due to coronavirus epidemic, by following these simple steps:
1) Visit the website of Ehsaas Labour Registration
2) Provide details such as CNIC No, Mobile Number, Mobile Operator, and the captcha code.
3) Provide details of your ex-employment, employer and other details of your work.
4) Contact details such as address & district will be required
5) After completion submit the form
The online registration is open for up to 3 weeks during which application form can be accessed and submitted after which the applicants will be verified with NADRA data, shortlisted and cash assistance of Rs. 12,000 will be provided.
According to PM Imran Khan the registration method and process is made online to reduce the risk of corruption and increase the transparency. He also asked youngsters from the Tiger Force to help people with the registration as many people will not be able to register themselves.
Ehsaas Cash Program was launched on 1st April 2020 to cater the basic needs of people due to the lockdown. In the first phase cash assistance was provided to the needy people and ration (rashan) was distributed in different parts of Pakistan. Now in the next phase cash is being provided to those who lost their work in the crisis.
Imran Khan also revealed that “So far, Rs81 billion have been distributed among 6.8 million needy families across the country under it.”
