Fruits are good for our health that’s why doctor recommend eating fruits daily, but now a new research claims that fruits also impact in the growth of child during pregnancy.
Women who eat more fruits during the months of pregnancy are more likely to give birth to smarter child. The research was published in medical journal ‘EbioMedicine’. Data from Canadian Healthy Infant Longitudinal Development Study was used for research.
They observed and took information from 688 children and found that smarter and more intelligent child belonged to those mothers who ate at least 6 servings of fruit or fruit juice daily during pregnancy. The children scored six points higher on IQ level were from mothers who consumed fruits during pregnancy.
Another research was conducted on flies which were given a higher amount of fruit juice and it was found that flies born after increased fruit consumption had better memory ability. As flies have almost 85% same genes as human brain the research is believed to be a step forward in this field.
