Famous Pakistani political analyst and journalist Dr. Moeed Pirzada has decided to quit Pakistan Television (PTV). He has finalized dealing with Waqt News TV and most probably he will join Waqt News in January. Moeed Pirzada is hosting Sochta Pakistan show on PTV. He is also Director World Affairs in PTV.
On other hand, PTV Management is trying persuade Moeed for not leaving PTV. PTV has finalized its work for upcoming English News Channel and Dr. Moeed can flourish it. The final decision from Dr. Moeed will be come within a week but till now he is looking towards Waqt TV. He will also write columns for Waqt TV’s English newspaper The Nation.
Dr. Moeed joined PTV in February 2011 when he left Dunya TV. Before Dunya TV, she had worked in Geo, ARY and PTV. When he joined PTV, the admin of PTV was looking for English Channel and Dr. Moeed could get director post but channel hasn’t launched.
It’s pertinent to mention here that Waqt TV has improved its standard in last 8 months. It hired some big Pakistan Media industry names like Fahd Hussain, Matiullah Jan and Matiullah Jan.
