Karachi: After discharging a lifetime service to education and conveying knowledge to several generations of our nation Dr. B B Qureshi has died here at the age of 90 and breadth her last at Edhi home.
Her achievements in the fields of knowledge and education were unquestionably noteworthy and she was regarded as the role model for Pakistani girls. Dr. B B taught in many International universities and also remained the teacher of the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan in Ghana.
She stayed at the shelter home for homeless women of Edhi in North Karachi for about last two years. She holds a doctorate degree in agricultural economics and has the experience of teaching at three foreign universities for many years.
The deceased was born in Muradabad in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and got her bachelors and masters degrees from the Aligarh Muslim University after receiving education from Gokuldas Girls College and Partab Singh High School. She later went to Ireland where she did her MLitt and PhD from the Trinity College of University of Dublin in 1960.
