Difa e Pakistan council has announced its campaign against the reopening of NATO supplies, following a protest day on 25 May 2012 and a long march on 27 March 2012.
The long March will encompass all major cities including Karachi to Islamabad. A joint meeting of the Difa e Pakistan council was held at Masoora today which was adjourned by Hafiz Saeed Ahmed of Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD), Syed Munawwar Hasan of the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), former ISI chief General Hamid Gul, and others.
The participants of the council have expressed deep anger on the reopening decision of NATO supplies. Earlier the government of Pakistan is moving under a decision to reopen the NATO supplies so as to continue US aids and other auxiliary funding.
There is already enough opposition on reopening NATO supplies as per the public opinion is concerned, many of the people take it as an open betrayal of nation’s honor and martyrs’ blood including the soldiers martyred in Salala check post.
