Yesterday’s Press Conference has exposed the ugly face of Democracy. Now the debate should not center on weather all the facts stated are authentic or not. The fact of the matter is that the intricate nature of how democracy as an institution operates has been unveiled before everyone. Politics in Democracy focuses on getting the most out of exploitation of grievances of people. In Democracy, the various segments of the society are made to feel compartmentalized along lines of ethnicity, language, or areas.
Hence it becomes easier to pitch one group against the other, by turning grievances into hatred. In the subsequent chaos, calls for unity are fortified along lines of division, and this solidifies the fragmentation of the society. As a concerned citizen, living in Pakistan. I am deeply upset with the continuation of this paranoid institution of democracy, which is akin to Demon-Crazy. Pakistan needs to abandon this failed system, and establish the Caliphate. Only the governance system of Islam i.e. Khilafah, as given by the Quran and Sunnah can liberate us from this monster of Democracy.
