Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has demanded of the authorities concerns not to privatize the Delhi Public School. In a statement issued here on Friday, JI General Secretary Karachi Naseem Siddiqui while expressing his deep concern over the attempts being made to handover the Delhi Public School into private hands said that such attempt will definitely affect the future of the students.
Expressing his solidarity with the teachers, students and their parents, demanding of the authorities concerns not to privatize the school, as it will put devastating effect on the students and the teaching staff adding they will compel to stage protest for their legal right. He termed the said step an attempt to deprive the students from their basic right to get education.
Siddiqui assured the teaching staff, students and their parents that the JI leadership will raise their voice at every platform. He also appealed the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the situation.
He regretted that the government has failed to disburse its basic responsibilities in order to safe educational institutions from privatizations.
