If you have received any fake or faulty product from any seller on Daraz then there are multiple ways such as helpline (phone number) or website through which you can know the compensation & return method.
The first method and process for any complaint to return the unauthentic delivered item is through your Daraz account which you can access from official website or website.
How to Return Any Product:
To return the fake or faulty item you should follow these simple steps:
1) Open Daraz App or official website Daraz.pk
2) Sign in to your account
3) Go into ‘My Orders’ and select the order to return the product
4) Click on manage order button and select return items
5) Choose “I received a wrong/fake item”
6) Fill the Online Return Form
7) Choose method for refund
8) Select Drop off location
9) Submit the form and then download it
10) Pack your product with the original packing and paste return form on it
11) Visit the drop off location (nearest TCS which you selected during the form submission)
After this process you will receive an email or call for details regarding why you think the item is not genuine.
Then your claim will be evaluated in the next 14 working days, after acceptance of your claim refund will be made through your original payment method.
Getting Compensation Through Court:
If any customer doesn’t get compensation from Daraz then they can also file a complaint through consumer courts across Pakistan which follows the federal and provincial customer protection act. These laws apply to all goods and services covering all private & public sectors.
Dawn News reported the case of Dania Kashif a customer who received compensation of Rs. 50,000 on the order of a judge from consumer court in Sindh.
She had filed a complaint regarding Daraz on receiving order in a bad condition after Daraz failed to entertain her complaint through helpline.
She also said that the seller charged her Rs. 7,795 while the price on the box was Rs. 6,730. According to media reports she also claimed that this resulted in stress, agony and mental infliction for her.
There is also a precedent for such complaints as in 2019 a judge of the consumer court in Sindh ordered Daraz to pay compensation of Rs. 50,000 to a customer after the customer complaint regarding the product received.
