
The date sheet for Central Superior Services (CSS) exams for 2021 was announced by Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). According to the schedule exams will start from 18 February 2021 (Thursday) till 26 February 2021 (Friday).
Exams will be conducted in two sessions, the first session will be from 9 AM to 12 PM while the second session will be from 2 PM till 5 PM. On Friday the exams in second session will be conducted from 3 PM to 6 PM.
According to media reports candidates will be provided roll numbers slips at least before one month of exam. The timings and other required details will also be provided along with the roll number slip.

According to this timetable candidate will be required to appear in examination without any holiday or gap and will be required to appear in multiple exams on same day.
CSS Compulsory & Optional Subjects:
The written test of CSS consists of 6 compulsory and 6 optional subjects. The compulsory subjects are as follows:
- English (Precis and Composition)
- English Essay
- General Science and Ability
- Current Affairs
- Pakistan Affairs
- Islamic Studies Or Alternative Subject for Non-Muslims
Each paper will be of 100 marks, which means the total marks for compulsory subjects are 600.
The optional subjects are divided in 7 groups which either contain subjects with 200 marks, or subjects with 100 & 200 marks. These groups are as follows:

- Accountancy & Auditing – 200 marks
- Economics – 200 marks
- Computer Science – 200 marks
- Political Science – 200 marks
- International Relations – 200 marks
Group 2:
- Chemistry – 200 marks
- Physics – 200 marks
- Pure Mathematics – 100 marks
- Applied Mathematics – 100 marks
- Geology – 100 marks
- Statistics – 100 marks
Group 3:
- Public Administration – 100 marks
- Business Administration – 100 marks
- Government & Public Policies – 100 marks
- Town Planning & Urban Management – 100 marks
Group 4:
- Islamic History and Culture – 100 marks
- History of Pakistan and India – 100 marks
- British History – 100 marks
- European History – 100 marks
- History of the USA – 100 marks
Group 5:
- Gender Studies – 100 marks
- Agriculture and Forestry – 100 marks
- Environmental Sciences – 100 marks
- Zoology – 100 marks
- Botany – 100 marks
- English Literature – 100 marks
- Urdu Literature – 100 marks
Group 6:
- Law – 100 marks
- International Law – 100 marks
- Constitutional Law – 100 marks
- Criminology – 100 marks
- Mercantile Law – 100 marks
- Philosophy – 100 marks
- Muslim Law and Jurisprudence – 100 marks
After passing the written/theory test, successful candidates will go through medical, psychological and viva test.
