Former Pakistan Test batsman Mohammad Yousuf recently applies for the post of head coach of Afghanistan cricket team. Before this offer, former caption of Pakistan cricket team Inzamam-ul-haq was the coach of Afghanistan national cricket team. He took his best affairs to develop good team of Afghanistan.
In December 2012, Inzamam-ul-haq was appointed as a batting consultant to Pakistan’s national team on a short term basis, in preparation for the 2013 tour of India.
In October 2015, He was appointed as the head coach of Afghanistan national cricket team, in preparation for the tour of Zimbabwe.
In April 2016, he appointed as the chief selector of Pakistan national cricket team as per (PCB) Pakistan Cricket board.
When Inzamam-ul-haq was released by (ACB) Afghanistan cricket board and joint PCB as a chief selector, Afghanistan Cricket board (ACB) offered Mohammad Yousuf for the post of Head coach of Afghanistan cricket team.
Although Mohammad Yousuf totally denies receiving “Head coach offer” from (ACB) Afghanistan cricket board. He said that “My agent did apply for the post but I have not received any reply from the AFC.
Mohammad Yousuf holds the record for scoring most run in a calendar year in tests (1788), represented Pakistan in 90 Test matches maintaining an average of 52.29 courtesy 24 centuries and 33 half tons.
