Cricketer Rohail Nazir is an emerging star from Pakistan who has played in Pakistan under 16 & Pakistan under 19. Today we will provide a brief profile of this young star who may soon become another great player of the national team.
Rohail Nazir was born on 10th October 2001 and started tape-ball cricket on streets of Islamabad. He was not introduced to professional cricket until he appeared for under-16 trial in 2015. He was not selected and was told that he needs to play club cricket so he joined Diamond Cricket Club.
After playing for club he was selected for Islamabad under 16 and scored two centuries at PCB Cricket Stars under 16. His performance resulted in his selection in Pakistan under 16 after which he played against Australia-Under 16 in UAE where he made two hundred runs and stumped 7 players.
Later he played grade 2 cricket with Omar Associates and was also selected for Federal Areas Squad in Pakistan Cup 2017.
It was his performance that opened the doors of Pakistan Super League (PSL) for him where he was selected for Islamabad United. In 2017 Lahore Qalandar’s started selection for a squad and he became part of that Rising Squad which played series against Big Bash franchises Sydney Sixer, Sydney Thunder & Hobart Hurricanes.
His last international appearance was in Under-19 Asia Cup 2017 where Pakistan lost the finals against Afghanistan.
