Ibtisam Sheikh was born on 16th March 1998 in Hyderabad. He was born in a family of doctors yet he received support from his family from street cricket to club and then onwards.
After playing cricket in the streets he joined Baloch Cricket Club to enhance his bowling skills. His coach in the club Shaukat Mama paid especial attention to the young bowler because of his extra ordinary skills.

When Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) held auditions in Hyderabad’s Niaz Stadium for under-16 trials Ibtisam went there to try his luck but failed to attract the selectors.
This failure motivated him to increase his efforts and next year he was not only selected for under-16 but became the best bowler in the tournament with 48 wickets.
He made his first class debut in 2017, playing for Faisalabad against Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. His List A debut was in 2018, he was part of Faisalabad which played against Lahore Blues.
His performance in under 16 and under-19 attracted the selectors of Peshawar Zalmi. He made his debut in T20 in Dubai. The match was between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans. In the second T20 of Peshawar Zalmi Ibtisam proved himself by taking 3 wickets with only 20 runs.
