
By developing a computer lab exclusively for their use, the University of Peshawar has advanced efforts to provide an inclusive learning environment for visually impaired students.
By enabling visually impaired students to pursue their academic objectives, this lab will assist close the achievement gap between them and their peers.
Twenty students with visual impairments and volunteers from the Social Work Community Service Program participated in the opening of the Learning Resource Center (LRC), which was established by the Department of Social Work.
The chief guest was Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idrees Khan, vice chancellor of the University of Peshawar.
The LRC’s goal is to provide visually impaired students with a friendly, open environment where they can learn and use computers that are suitable for their needs.
The Vice-Chancellor offered his aid and expressed his gratitude to the social work students for starting the LRC.
The Vice Chancellor and Chairman of the Department of Social Work were praised by the blind action committee and visually impaired students for supporting the education of visually impaired pupils.
