Dr S.M Rab was the senior most physicians to serve the field of medicine in Pakistan, who died three months ago at the age of 85. The audience gathered at the lawns of the college of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) on Sunday evening to pay their tribute to the dedicated doctor S.M. Rab. The tribute was titled as ‘The legacy remains’ by his protégés. The participants expressed their grief over the loss of Dr S.M Rab, who was respected by the entire medical community.
The Pakistan Medical Association organized the programme at the CPSP, whose founding member was Dr Rab. The services of the late doctor S.M Rab were praised and appreciated by the councilor of the CPSP, Prof Tipu Sultan. He stated that Dr Rab was an extraordinary clinician and a brilliant teacher who had an exceptional skill of diagnosis. The secretary general of PMA, Dr Mirza Ali Azhar stated that Dr Rab had the ability to treat a heart patient as skillfully as a neurological patient.
Singer Mohammad Ali sang the favorite songs of the late doctor, while Zia Mohyeddin presented citations, a collage of Urdu literary gems for half an hour.
