BEIJING: China is ready to export military drones. According to Chinese media, China is going to start exporting military drones whereas Pakistan is the basic consumer of Chinese military drones. At this moment, Pakistan has only China-made CH-1 military drones whereas the talks between Islamabad and Beijing are continued for the export of CH-4 drones.
CH-3 and CH-4 military drones are equipped with semi-active laser guided missile AR-1. According to Chinese defence report, AR-1 missile can hit its target till 8 kilometres and it can destroy one thousand MM armour plate or 1200 MM concrete.
China Times quoted a Canadian defence magazine that after the opening of sales in foreign markets, the doors are being opened for the Chinese military drones gradually across the world. China is making armed drones for foreign consumer countries.
United Arab Emirates (UAE) is purchasing the drone YL-1A. Chinese-made drone ASN-209 was shown for the first time in South Africa where Africa transport and logistics were held. ASN-209 can fly 10 hours continuously or till the range of 200 kilometres.
At present, only Egypt is purchasing the drone ASN-209. The upgraded version of ASN-209 is ASN-209 G which can be armed with two laser guided missiles. China is in search of new consumers like Saudi Arabia and Algeria.
