A new survey has revealed that the presence of father at home is very important for the growth and development of children.
Children will perform better in education; will be healthier and happier if the father is present with them. The research was conducted by London School of Economics and was primilarly based on British citizens but it is believed that the results are universal.
The study focused on children up to the age of seven. Their main focus was the intelligence, health and social skills of children.

It found that single parenting resulted in problems. Children who only had mothers had a higher rate of crime, had a higher rate of school leaving and were more prone to teenage pregnancy.
