Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa reached Parachinar after delay because of the bad weather. He is visiting Parachinar to meet the families of the victims who died in blasts before Enid.
ISPR revealed that Army Chief wanted to meet the families on Eid and started his journey on Tuesday but because of the weather the helicopter returned.
Many people were protesting in Parachinar after the twin bomb blasts which killed 80 people & injured 200. Suicide bombers targeted the market area where people were busy in shopping for Eid.
Parachinar city area & market remained closed after the blast and soon families and other citizens along with sectarian parties staged protest against the security situation of the city.
The army conducted many operations in the area mostly against groups involved in sending fighters to support Bashar al Assad in Syrian war.
