Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief Imran Khan have been given a formal invitation by the former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi for the charity match that has been organized for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan. Initially there were rumours that the teams of Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan will come face to face in the match for the Internally displaced persons, but maybe that would have meant crossing the line to bring the two political rivals in a match. So Afridi has just invited the two politicians to view the match together.
Shahid Khan Afridi hopes that the two leaders will accept his invitation and attend the match in a friendly atmosphere. This will be a unique opportunity for the two leaders to set aside their differences and enjoy the match together. The match is being played for a noble cause and the presence of the two politicians will mean a lot. The match has been planned at Qaddafi stadium between the 19th to the 22nd of this month and that all the income will go to the IDPs of North Waziristan. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Najam Sethi, had agreed to organize the event and make the required security arrangements as well.
Shahid informed reporters that Imran Khan had already agreed to attend the match, while he hoped that Nawaz Sharif will also agree to support this noble cause.
