Case of Awarding Additional Marks to Medical Students for Memorizing Quran is Scheduled for Hearing


The issue of giving additional 20 marks to medical students for memorizing Quran was fixed for hearing.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has been scheduled to hear on its own notice the issue of giving additional marks to medical students for memorization of Quran.

A 3-member bench headed by Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will hear the matter on March 15.
Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Shahid Waheed are also included in the bench of the suo moto notice case.

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Pakistan Medical Commission, Attorney General and other parties in the ex officio notice case.

The Supreme Court had itself taken notice when the matter came up during the hearing last year.
