Canada honors the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah by naming a park as ‘Jinnah Park’. This is the first time that any park is named after Pakistan’s founder in North America.
The park is located in Winnipeg city of Manitoba province of Canada. The opening ceremony of the park was attended by numerous people including Tariq Azim Khan who is Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada.
Canadian Member of Parliament such as Terry Duguid, Iqra Khalid and City Councillor Janice Lukes also attended the event.
Tariq Azim Khan appreciated the opening of the park and praised Canadian government for honoring Quaid e Azam. He said that Pakistani community is bridging the gap between different communities.

This park will remind Pakistanis the struggle and work of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The struggle for a separate country of Muslims.
