Boom Technology is going to test its first supersonic demonstrator this year. XB-1 is a prototype for the supersonic passenger aircraft which Boom technologies aims to manufacture.
It is believed that the final aircraft will travel at a speed of 2,335 km/h and will a ticket will cost $5,000. The price seems to be expensive but Boom technologies is focusing on a market of professionals who prefer saving time on money.
If this aircrafts travels from Pakistan to USA it will take only 5 hours to reach the final destination while currently the minimum time for a direct flight is 18 hours.
It will seat only 45 passengers in comparison with previous supersonic jets which had a capacity up to 128 passengers.
