Lahore: Former Test Cricketer Pakistan team Ijaz Ahmed has been summoned by Lahore’s local court on Monday who indicted him in a bounced cheque case. Former cricketer was accused of giving a bogus cheque to a person in March this year.
According to the sources, Ijaz Ahmed gave a a bogus cheque worth Rs10 million to a man named Shaukat Ali in a business deal earlier this year. Shaukat launched an FIR against Ijaz over the bogus cheque.
The sources say that the session court has also indicted 10 witnesses in case on Nov 10.
Ijaz Ahmed Wiki: Ijaz Ahmed played 60 Tests and 250 One Day Internationals for Pakistan over a period from 1986 to 2001. He is married to the sister of his former team-mate Saleem Malik. He was considered as the best fielder in the Pakistani side throughout his career.
