The examination results of the Intermediate Board have shown that girls have performed exceptionally well in their examinations. The girls occupied half of the top-ten positions in the pre-engineering group and were also able to take up the top ten positions in the general groups as well.
PECHS Government College for Women outshined with its students Mariam Malik obtaining 89.36% and to come second. A total of 306 students of PECHS sat in the intermediate board examination. Out of these 85% students passed with A-1 and A grades in the pre-engineering examination.
The general group results showed that 41% of the students were successful in comparison to the 34% of the last year. Fatima Idrees of Sir Syed Government Girls College came first with 89% marks, while Sumbul Yousuf of Bahria College came in second with 87.45% and Hina Hanif of Hayat-ul-Islam College came in third with 83.18%.
PECHS College maintained its hegemony among the girl’s colleges. St Lawrence Government College is second in the ranking with Sir Syed Girls College coming third. The rest of the colleges are mentioned as follows: Khatoon-e Pakistan College, Commerce College, St. Patricks College, Malir Cantt College, Degree College, Gulshan-e-Iqbal College and Comprehensive College.
