In Pakistan sale of dry fruits increases with the change in weather, but these dry fruits are good for our health in all four seasons and different weather.
One of the most common dry fruits during winter is Walnut (Akhrot). It is one of the oldest tree fruit grown by man and from early its benefits become known among humans in different civilizations.
Some benefits of Walnuts are:
- If you are having problems in sleeping then walnuts is the cure. It contains ‘melatonin’ which is responsible for telling our brain about the day light and night darkness, hence maintaining our daily cycle. So when you eat walnuts it increases the melatonin which will make you asleep early during night.
- Walnuts are a rich source for antioxidants and Omega-3. Antioxidants have multiple benefits for your blood vessels while Omega-3 helps in reducing cholesterol.
- The Vitamin-B and antioxidants in walnuts are also good for skin as they reduce the speed of aging and makes you look younger.
